My updates :)

by ahtin77 @ 2007-11-12 - 01:31:33

Long time no blogging...

I am now watching Sgp movie. Weekend just over and tomorrow have to work again :( I had been so busy recently, and I really want to rest, rest and rest.

I will be going back to Malaysia on this Thursday night, for mom in law's birthday :) Had bought a gold bracelet for her...can imagine her happy smile when give her the birthday gift. She has been so nice to me :P

I went to Hong Kong on Oct 13 for 5 days Free & Easy trip, together with my parents in law and Hup. My impression on Hong Kong is.. hmm.. very crowded, amazing city scenery, fast life pace, high cost of living. We enjoy the trip so much, but really tired. Haha... we walked from 9am till 10pm daily, and travelled from place to place by train, cab and bus. Here are some photos for sharing :)

Hehe.. forgot to announce...

On Aug 19, finally I had the courage to perm my hair :) This may looks simple for you, but it took me few years to take the action.

Yes, I am so happy. Happy not because I look pretty with the new hair style, but happy that I had fullfilled my dream, perming my hair. Haha, a simple dream from a simple girl :P

I received both possitive and negative comments about my new hair style, but regardless what, most importantly, I like it :)

Just to say hi...

by ahtin77 @ 2007-08-23 - 00:59:57

I can't believe I had stop blogging for ~1 month, probably because recently I am so busy with work, or probably I try not to write too much after I realized that I am running out of blogging space. I am a bit reluctant to pay $$ monthly for the blogging, and I may need to look for others blogger with larger storage space without any chargers. Any suggestion, guys?

It triggered me to access my blog again after seeing the friends invitation email from TinyPetal. Hi, TinyPetal..Thanks for the invitation, and nice to be your friend :)

Sigh, recently I am so stressed up with works. Sigh, everyone works so hard for $$, for better life. But, have they ever sit down and think if they are really having a good life? How much do they enjoy their current life?

Sigh.... :(

We were not allowed to explore the cave as it is reserved for bird nest collection by local. So many little tiger fishes can be seen around our boat.

Celebration of ZY's Birthday

by ahtin77 @ 2007-07-15 - 04:09:08

Today is ZY's 27th years old birthday. We decided to held a small birthday party at my house :)

I ordered pizza, popcorn chicken, whipped potato, coleslaw, cheesy meltz, garlic bread and I cooked BBQ chicken wings. Mark bought a cheese cake.
DSC_3484 (Small)DSC_3505 (Small)
After we had our dinner, we played cards game. Punishment on the loser was the most funniest part..hehe.."Mark is the big LOSER" :P

We went for movie ("Harry Porter") at around 11.20pm. Before we went out, we realized that "o..no.. ZY have yet cut the cake". Haha..we enjoyed the card game so much that forgot about ZY's birthday :) About the movie..Err..it is so disappointing and I even slept in the theathre. If you have yet watched it, just forget about it !

We sang the birthday song at around 2am and my friends went back at around 3.30am. Hope they have a great time. Sweet dream, guys :)

A Trip to Krabi - 20 June 2007 - Con't

by ahtin77 @ 2007-07-10 - 23:43:07

Let's continue with Day 3..

Panyee Island
After visiting the James Bond Island, we proceeded to Panyee Island, a stilt fishing village surrounded by limestone cliffs. This is a Muslim village and there is a mosque. Just wonder, the lands are available everywhere, why these people choose to live on the sea? Who is first one that built his house beside the cliff with no access to any other town? What forced him to do such decision? War between Muslim and Buddhist? Em... thousands of question marks.

Suwankuha Temple
Returning to pier, we continued by minibus to Suwankuha Temple (The Golden Cave Temple) to pay respect to the > 200 years old reclining Buddha.
DSC_3177 (Small)DSC_3180 (Small)

Monkeys were everywhere, waiting for people to feed them with Rambutan. This naughty monkey torn off the plastic that Hup was carrying while I was taking photo, trying his luck that there was food inside the plastic. Hehe.. his mission failed :)
DSC_3160 (Small)DSC_3182 (Small)

The staircase lead us to more deeper cave area.

The trip ended after Suwankuha Temple visit. We went for Foot Massage for foot relaxing after a whole day walk. I suggested Thai Seafood for dinner. Dishes that we ordered included Chilli lime steam fish, chilli crab, spicy glass noodle and Tom Yam Goong. All tasted good except the steam fish.

Ever try "Tuk-tuk" riding? :P

Different mindset and behaviour at different stage of life

by ahtin77 @ 2007-07-09 - 22:53:14

I attended Aixin (Hup's collegue) 21st birthday party at Pasir Ris on last Friday. She invited her friends as well, and most of them should aged around 21 years old.

I felt the difference between her friends and us. Their behaviour, the way they talked and joked, their chatting topics are totally different. Haha...maybe it was how I behaved when I was at their age.

Guess our mindset and behaviour change when we are at different stage of life.

I asked Hup, will I have the same mindset after 10 years later? Guess everyone has the same answer. Just wonder, is there anyway to capture ppl's mindset so that 10 years later, I can review back and tell the changes? Hehe.. it is just a silly question.

I am so tired....

by ahtin77 @ 2007-07-09 - 22:19:06

Work, work and work....

Work will never finish and I am so tired with it... I spent > 50% of my time at home doing office work. I know, we need balance life and sad to say that I fail to achieve that :(

Meeting, meeting and meeting...

Total of my meeting time occupied > 70% of my time in office. Every meeting has its objective and I see the reason to attend the meetings. Just, after attending all the meetings, I am seeing my works are piling up :(

Sigh...can I rest now? The answer is "Back to work, now !" Sigh.. :(

A trip to Krabi - June 20, 2007

by ahtin77 @ 2007-06-25 - 23:18:36

Krabi is a southern province on Thailand. The most amazing part about Krabi is the towering limestone cliff and fantastic white sand beaches. Maya beach is one of the beaches that I like most.

Day 1: Sgp to Krabi
Arrived at Krabi airport around 7pm something and travelled to Ao Nang Beach by taxi. After left our luggage in hotel, we had our dinner at Nana Restaurant located just opposite to our hotel. We ordered authentic Thai food, Tom Yam Goong, Pineapple rice, Green Curry Chicken and spicy glass noodle. Em..yummy yummy :)
DSC_2589 (Small)
This little girl is so cute and cool. she kept following us for some distances with no reason. We walked, she walked, we stopped, she stopped, no smile and just stared at us. Funny :)
DSC_2597 (Small)
I managed to get a small piece of cake for Hup. 12am++..it was time to sing birthday song.. "Happy Birthday to you...happy birthday to you.. happy birthday to hubby...happy birthday to you" :)

Day 2 - Exploring Ao Nang
We finished our breakfast around 10am and start exploring Ao Nang.
DSC_2762 (Small)DSC_2777 (Small)
This sign board catched our attention, "Tsunami Hazard Zone", "In case of earthquake, go to high ground inland". Guess it was there since after the Tsunami case happened on year 2004.
DSC_2713 (Small)
This staircase lead to another beach, and the beach is only be accessible either by this staircase or by boat. It took us ~15 mins climb to reach the beach.
DSC_2773 (Small)
We had a lazy afternoon and it was so relaxing :)
DSC_2715 (Small)DSC_2808 (Small)
We had Thai food again for lunch.. Ao Nang fried rice, spicy glass noodle, Phad Thai and Charcoal Squid. Still so yummy, I LOVE THAI FOOD :) We also tried the pancake with banana chocolate, what I can say is "Ichiban" :P
DSC_2823 (Small)DSC_2860 (Small)
We found Macdonals. The difference between the MacD in Thailand and MacD in Sgp or Malaysia is, make a guess ! Yes, they sold pork burger! We tried the Samurai Pork burger, taste wise.. hmm... normal :)
DSC_2866 (Small)

We did some Window shopping around the street and also went for Thai Massage. It was first time Hup experiencing Thai massage and it was my second time, cost us 250 bath per hour.

Day 3 - James Bond Island Tour
*To be continued tomorrow... zzzzzzz.... :)

Day 3 - James Bond Island Tour
It was a day tour, costed us 1600 baht per person. We departed from hotel at ~8.20am and it took ~2hrs to reach our first destination.

Elephant Trekking - It was so fun to ride on the elephant but I was a bit scared of falling down from the elephant. Hehe..no place for me to hold. I realized later that I could actually hold the elephant's big ear :)
DSC_2900 (Small)DSC_2903 (Small)

Phang Nga Bay Boat Trip - From Phang Nga Bay pier, we started our journey by long tail boat through peaceful canals in the midst of magnificent mangrove forest. We passed by a lot of limestone mountains. Our tour guide commented that this area is like another "China Gui Ling" :P, Yeah, really amazing...

It was made famous by "James Bond" movie, "The man with the golden gun" filmed on 1974. See if you able to will find the island in the movie trailer below. :)

Tour by Sea Canoe - We sailed through "Lod Cave"(a limestone mountain) and secret lagoon. We are wondering how these limestone were formed and it may take thousands or millions of year for the limestone forming.

Today is Hup's Chinese Birthday

by ahtin77 @ 2007-06-19 - 22:24:53

While travelling back from office, Hup reminded me that today is "Dragon Boat Festival". Oh.. I get his hint. His chinese birthday is fall on "Dragon Boat Festival" day :)

I decided to cook Mee Suah (flour vermicelli) soup for him, with 2 hard boiled eggs. It is his mom's practice (or some chinese's practice) to eat Mee Suah soup during birthday. As his mom not around, I have to take up the role to cook Mee Suah for him, hehe :P

IMG_0690 (Small)IMG_0697 (Small)

We finished the 2 big bowls of Mee Suah. Wow.. sure putting on weight :)

We will be flying to Krabi (Thailand) tomorrow and will be back on coming Sunday, for celebration of his birthday. Hehe...looking forward the trip now :)

Happy Birthday, Hup !
