  • A trip to Krabi - June 20, 2007

Krabi is a southern province on Thailand. The most amazing part about Krabi is the towering limestone cliff and fantastic white sand beaches. Maya beach is one of the beaches that I like most.

    Day 1: Sgp to Krabi
Arrived at Krabi airport around 7pm something and travelled to Ao Nang Beach by taxi. After left our luggage in hotel, we had our dinner at Nana Restaurant located just opposite to our hotel. We ordered authentic Thai food, Tom Yam Goong, Pineapple rice, Green Curry Chicken and spicy glass noodle. Em..yummy yummy :)

This little girl is so cute and cool. she kept following us for some distances with no reason. We walked, she walked, we stopped, she stopped, no smile and just stared at us. Funny :)

I managed to get a small piece of cake for Hup. 12am++..it was time to sing birthday song.. "Happy Birthday to you...happy birthday to you.. happy birthday to hubby...happy birthday to you" :)

We finished our breakfast around 10am and start exploring Ao Nang.

This sign board catched our attention, "Tsunami Hazard Zone", "In case of earthquake, go to high ground inland". Guess it was there since after the Tsunami case happened on year 2004.

This staircase lead to another beach, and the beach is only be accessible either by this staircase or by boat. It took us ~15 mins climb to reach the beach.

We had Thai food again for lunch.. Ao Nang fried rice, spicy glass noodle, Phad Thai and Charcoal Squid. Still so yummy, I LOVE THAI FOOD :) We also tried the pancake with banana chocolate, what I can say is "Ichiban" :P

We found Macdonals. The difference between the MacD in Thailand and MacD in Sgp or Malaysia is, make a guess ! Yes, they sold pork burger! We tried the Samurai Pork burger, taste wise.. hmm... normal :)

We did some Window shopping around the street and also went for Thai Massage. It was first time Hup experiencing Thai massage and it was my second time, cost us 250 bath per hour.

Day 3 - James Bond Island Tour
*To be continued tomorrow... zzzzzzz.... :)

Day 3 - James Bond Island Tour
It was a day tour, costed us 1600 baht per person. We departed from hotel at ~8.20am and it took ~2hrs to reach our first destination.

Elephant Trekking - It was so fun to ride on the elephant but I was a bit scared of falling down from the elephant. Hehe..no place for me to hold. I realized later that I could actually hold the elephant's big ear :)

Phang Nga Bay Boat Trip - From Phang Nga Bay pier, we started our journey by long tail boat through peaceful canals in the midst of magnificent mangrove forest. We passed by a lot of limestone mountains. Our tour guide commented that this area is like another "China Gui Ling" :P, Yeah, really amazing...

Reaching James Bond Island (aka Khao Phing Kan)..
It was made famous by "James Bond" movie, "The man with the golden gun" filmed on 1974. See if you able to will find the island in the movie trailer below. :)

Tour by Sea Canoe - We sailed through "Lod Cave"(a limestone mountain) and secret lagoon. We are wondering how these limestone were formed and it may take thousands or millions of year for the limestone forming.

  • Today is Hup's Chinese Birthday

While travelling back from office, Hup reminded me that today is "Dragon Boat Festival". Oh.. I get his hint. His chinese birthday is fall on "Dragon Boat Festival" day :)

I decided to cook Mee Suah (flour vermicelli) soup for him, with 2 hard boiled eggs. It is his mom's practice (or some chinese's practice) to eat Mee Suah soup during birthday. As his mom not around, I have to take up the role to cook Mee Suah for him, hehe :P

  • Mom is going back to Malaysia tomorrow

One month over, and my mom will be going back tomorrow. She started packing since yesterday :)

Flight time is 8.30am tomorrow. We need to wake up at 5.30am, have breakfast at 6am and depart from home at 6.30am to catch the flight.

Sigh, the time now is 11.40pm and I still have 4 pending tasks that I need to complete by tonight. And, I have yet packed :(

Task 1: Reply my boss's email.
    11.54pm: Completed.

Task 2 : Meeting minutes for today's meeting.
    11.54: Doing...
    1.13am: Sent.

Task 3: Fill up some details for my Working Time Management, requested by Mgmt and is compulsory for all employees. Due date: June 08 (tomorrow)

1.21am: Take bath first before starting task 3. Sigh, I may need to skip sleep for tonight :(

1.36am: haha...taken my mom's weight, see if she gains weight after staying here. Hmm, 60kg, maintain, good :)

2.45am: Completed task 3, left task 4 and packing. Feel sleepy, take a rest first.

    June 17..
haha... guess the "rest" became "sleep". I didn't complete task 4 and only did the packing before departure :)

  • I burnt my finger

Back from office. As usual, I heated up some dishes for dinner but I was accidentally burnt my little fingers. This is not a bad news though :P Hehe, good to be served by my hubby. He did all the washing :)

I was sitting in the living room, waiting for mango to be served, as what he promised. Finally he came with a plate... hurray !

Haha..instead of serving me the fresh mango, he served me the dried mango bought from the market. Sometimes he is funny :P

  • Singapore PC Show 2007 - 04 June 2007

It is an successful IT event and is always so crowded. I am not really interested on IT stuff, new technologies but my hubby is the one that crazy about it.

As usual, I was looking for "AMD" banner or advertisement. As expected, I didn't see any. I know AMD never/seldom invest $$ in this IT show regardless of good or bad business, but I just could not understand why. Don't this is an good opportunity for them to market their new products and attract more buyers? Em..AMD may has it's own marketing strategies or they may put more focus on US/Europe market rather than Asia.

My hubby with a big carrier :) He bought memory card, Tarcus haversack, card reader...

  • BBQ at Tailou's house at JB - 26 May 2007

Tailou just got married with a girl that he knows less than 2 months. We all are a bit worried on the "super fast" marriage. But..we feel relief after the BBQ when we saw the loving couples really enjoy their happy life. :)

  • 2007 Valentine - 14 Feb 2007

To my surprise, I received flowers & little husky from my hubby during valentine day. Happy but...em, it must cost him a lot. I bought him a "iPamper" for back massage, haha, hope that he won't ask me to massage for him anymore :) For that night, we just went for simple dinner but we enjoyed every moment that we had together :P

  • Bangkok - 21 Oct 2006

This is my 2nd time to Bangkok (Thailand), for a 4 days visit.

Places that we had visited including Grand Palace, Floating Market, Ayutthaya, Bang Pa In Palace, Chatuchak market. We also went for Lady Boy Night Show, Thai massage and river cruise :)

  • Nepal - 25 Sept 2005

Just to share some photos taken in Nepal :P

    Trekking in Annapurna Region
We spent ~6 days in trekking, passed by a lot of small villages. Woke up ~6am and trekked till ~3pm to 4pm everyday. The scenery is very nice and we enjoyed so much :)

    Royal Chitwan National Park..
The most unforgetable events are the boat riding along a river to see the wild crocodiles and elephant riding to see wild animals:)

    Kathmandu
We called it as "Horn City". Horn sound is always surrounding you and you need to keep watching for the vehicles when you walk. All are dangerous rider :)

    Pokhara - Phewa Lake
The lake is surrounded by mountains and is so calm.
